It’s time for the new PGA Tour season only three days after the
last one concluded…and I thought NASCAR had too short a
turnaround!
Last weekend I correctly picked Xander Schauffele as the winner
without strokes in The Tour Championship though Dustin Johnson
won yet again and concluded one of the great two month golfer
turnaround stories after his disastrous July.
Through 11 weeks, I’m up a ridiculous $1622.50…guess that’s
what happens when Jon Rahm wins twice & Collin Morikawa wins
at the PGA Championship. Producer Michael has fared well,
Parlay Kid has slumped since a torrid start…and Harry, well, let’s
just say he’s been more focused on his NASCAR 6-pack picks
which have been lights out to say the least.
For the Safeway Open, the lack of marquee names is evident so
picking winners here is like picking fish in a barrel. Don’t be afraid
to chase those big odds one weekend before the U.S. Open! Let’s
see who can get lucky this time around.
Once again the rules for our challenge:
Each week, Harry, Parlay Kid, Producer Michael and I will get a
simulated $200 to bet…$100 on golfers to win that week’s
tournament and another $100 to be spread amongst top-5, top-
10, top-20, and other prop bets. We’ll track the progress to see
who does the best and whether we can produce positive ROIs.
