FRIDAY, JUNE 17
MINNESOTA TWINS @ ARIZONA DIAMONDBACKS
Twins starter Devin Smeltzer has an ERA of 2.38 and has only given up more than 3 earned runs in one start this season. To say the D-Backs starter "Mad Bum" has been "snake-bitten" lately would be an understatement. In his last 3 starts for the snakes his teammates have provided him with 0 runs.
SATURDAY, JUNE 18
ATLANTA BRAVES @ CHICAGO CUBS
Atlanta starter Kyle Wright is 7-3 and in 12 starts he has given up more than 3 runs just once. The Cubs are just 12-24 at home and starter Justin Steele is "just" 1-5 on the season with an ERA of 4.33.
TAMPA BAY BANDITS @ BIRMINGHAM STALLIONS
The Stallions won't show too much considering it means nothing to them and they are in the playoffs next week. Both teams games went well under last week and in week 4 when they met only 26 total points were scored.
TAMPA BAY LIGHTNING @ COLORADO AVALANCHE
Tampa Bay has won 11 straight series and are the two-time defending champs for a reason. In their last 63 playoff games they have lost back to back games just one time (that is an amazing stat if you think about it). The champs were down 3-1 in game 1 and fought back to tie it at 3 each and they will again on Saturday, but this time they will come out on top in the Mile High city.
LIGHTNING VICTOR HEDMAN OVER .5 POINT SCORED -140
Hedman is possibly the best defenseman in the league and his offense isn't too shabby either especially on the road in the playoffs. Hedman has scored a point in 5 of his last 6 games on the road and that includes an assist in Game 1 versus the Avalanche.
