Harry's Selections and Hypothetical Spreads

Saturday, February 29

Kansas -9.5 @ Kansas St

The Jayhawks reclaimed the title of being number one in the land after taking down the Bears of Baylor over the weekend. Kansas won this first battle over the Wildcats by 21 and the game was marred by a fight between the teams to end the game. In this situation Kansas will put them away early in the first half and cruise to another double-digit victory.

82 Kansas Jayhawks

66 Kansas St Wildcats

Baylor -6 @ TCU

TCU is coming off of a victory on February 22nd against a now struggling West Virginia squad. On Monday March 2nd Baylor plays Texas Tech and might be looking ahead against the Horned Frogs. TCU is playing well, and they keep this game close.

59 Baylor Bears

57 TCU Horned Frogs

Florida St -3 @ Clemson

This is the exact type of game I was warning bettors about in the opening paragraph. Florida St blew out Louisville in the 2nd half on Monday and would seem to be a great bet against the Tigers on Saturday. However, Clemson really could use this win as they are a “fence team” for the NCAA tourney and they do have impressive wins at home against Louisville and Duke. There is something about this Tigers team when they are at home and they get it done again.

69 Florida St Seminoles

73 Clemson Tigers

Florida @ Tennessee -3

The Gators steal this one on the road as Keyontae Johnson and Kerry Blackshear (both average 14 points and 7 rebounds a game) get it done in Knoxville.

68 Florida Gators

62 Tennessee Volunteers

Seton Hall @ Marquette -2

The Pirates have had two straight wins after two losses and beat Marquette at home earlier this season by 14 points. The Eagles have been slumping of late and even Markus Howard (leads nation in scoring) can help then lately.

64 Seton Hall Pirates

60 Marquette Eagles

Auburn @ Kentucky -4

The War Eagles beat the Wildcats earlier by 9 and, have been extremely fortunate winning 5 games this season in overtime and have won 8 in a row in overtime which includes beating Kentucky last year 77-71 in the elite 8. Luck stays on the side of Auburn and they take down Kentucky in a close one in what else but overtime.

Overtime

82 Auburn Tigers

80 Kentucky Wildcats

Duke -1.5 @ Virginia

Duke has four solid players who average double digits in points and at least 4 rebounds. The Blue Devils will bounce back from their loss on Tuesday at Wake Forest.

66 Duke Blue Devils

60 Virginia Cavaliers

San Diego St -3 @ Nevada

The Aztecs could still be reeling from their first loss of the season on Saturday against UNLV (a game a gave out as a winner). Nevada has won three in a row at home against SDST and that includes a 28-point dismantling last season. This is the type of game that stays close throughout and SDST breaks that winning streak, barely.

67 SDST Aztecs

62 Nevada Wolfpack

Michigan St @ Maryland -6

The Terrapins outscored the Spartans 15-2 down the stretch on February 15th in East Lansing in a fantastic Big 10 road win. Michigan St closes out the regular season against three top 25 opponents and Xavier Tillman and the Spartans return the favor in this one against Maryland.

68 Michigan St

65 Maryland Terrapins

St Mary’s @ Gonzaga -9.5

These two teams have 21+ wins (4 total teams have 21+ wins in the WCC) but one of them for Gonzaga was a 30-point win on the road at St Mary’s. the Bulldogs do it again in this matchup.

70 St Mary’s Gaels

89 Gonzaga Bulldogs

Sunday, March 1

Cincinnati @ Houston -2.5

These two teams are tied for first place in the American conference and played a tight game earlier this season with Cincy winning at home by a deuce, 64-62. The Cougars return the favor at home on Sunday.

58 Cincinnati Bearcats

63 Houston Cougars

Indiana @ Illinois -4

Both teams are streaky, but the Hoosiers keep this one close thanks to Trayce Jackson-Davis. He is averaging 14 points a game and is shooting 58% from the field.

64 Indiana Hoosiers

66 Illinois Fighting Illini

Michigan @ Ohio St -4

The Wolverines are a tough team to figure out. They have posted wins over Creighton, UNC, and Gonzaga, but have lost to Illinois twice and Minnesota. The Buckeyes had a solid win last Sunday against Maryland, so this makes for another Big 10 game that might just come down to the wire.

70 Michigan Wolverines

72 Ohio St Buckeyes

Friday, February 28

Texas St -4.5 @ UT-Arlington

Arlington lost a close one at Texas St earlier this season 64-62. Before that game the Mavericks had beaten Texas St four straight times. Arlington has won 3 of its last 4 games and has some pretty close nonconference games that they should be proud of. They beat Tulsa by 14 and lost close games to Nevada, Houston and Gonzaga (lost to Zags by only 6 on the road).

68 Texas St Bobcats

66 UT-Arlington Mavericks

Saturday, February 29

Massachusetts @ Richmond -9.5

The Spiders have beaten UMass five of its last six times they have met and two years ago in Richmond they rolled the Minutemen by 23. UMass is just 1-5 on the road in the Atlantic 10 this season and in the five home conference wins for Richmond they have won by 32,18,22,18, and 15 points.

60 UMass Minutemen

82 Richmond Spiders

Wyoming @ Fresno St -7

Fresno played Nevada tough on February 22, losing the game by just 2 points and Nevada was a heavy favorite. The Cowboys lost at home to Fresno by 15 points earlier this season and have lost 7 of their last 9 to the Bulldogs.

49 Wyoming Cowboys

65 Fresno St Bulldogs
