Everyone is pretty much home or about to be, riding out this coronavirus mania. So, since you are stuck at home like me, why not make some money on the XFL. Let's take a look at the current odds to win the XFL Championship and then have a look at the Week 6 matchups and lines and my picks, of course.

XFL Championship Odds

+105 Houston

+300 St Louis

+800 DC

+900 Los Angeles

+900 Dallas

10/1 New York

25/1 Seattle

33/1 Tampa Bay

We are halfway through the XFL season and for the most part it has been a “decent watch”. The gimmicks of sideline reporting, locker room interviews, and having video and audio from the replay booth has been entertaining to say the least. The actual play on the field has been average to good most of the time but that is when quarterbacks usually take over games. There has been no better quarterback than MVP frontrunner, Houston’s PJ Walker who leads in practically all QB statistics. The Roughnecks are the only undefeated team at 5-0. St Louis seems to be the second-best team, followed by DC and LA who play well at home but seem like they can’t do a thing right when they are on the road. Dallas has dropped significantly because of poor quarterback play, and New York is sitting at 3-2 and still in this thing because of a stout defense. Seattle and Tampa Bay are at the bottom of the league because of poor decision making and awful coaching. Tampa Bay is at the top of the league in numerous offensive categories but, have shot themselves in the foot with turnovers, silly penalties and the play calling has been atrocious in key moments of games. So, this week starts the second half of the season and it will be interesting to see if anyone can knock the Roughnecks from their frontrunning perch. Below are the lines for week 6 and my takes for these games. I didn’t give out picks for week 1 since I needed to see how this league looked but from week 2 to week 5, I’m a smooth 19-12-1 against the spread. You and I will take that record anytime no matter what sport we are betting on.

Week 6 Lines and Analysis

Saturday March 14

-6.5 Houston @ New York 47

The Guardians found some offense in Dallas last week, but it was their defense that shined the brightest in a rout of the Renegades. Houston and QB PJ Walker might prove to be just too much offense for New York and they won’t be able to keep up.

26 Houston Renegades

16 New York Guardians

-3.5 St Louis @ Tampa Bay 42

The Vipers offense was the best it’s been all season last week in Los Angeles however, their defense was the worst in giving up a league high 41 points to the Wildcats. Battlehawks QB Jordan Ta’amu has struggled putting the ball in the endzone the last 6 quarters. I just can’t trust Tampa Bay because of their sloppy decisions in games even though they seem to have found their offense scoring 27,25 and 31 points in their last three games.

29 St Louis Battlehawks

22 Tampa Bay Vipers

Sunday March 15

Dallas @ DC -4 35.5

The Defenders defense was dominant versus St Louis last week and it has been outstanding all season when they are home as they have not allowed a visiting touchdown in two straight games. On the road DC has been lousy and they get a Dallas team at home that will be without QB Landry Jones for a second straight week and the Renegades after last week’s pathetic performance against the Guardians continue to find any source of offense.

12 Dallas Renegades

19 DC Defenders

-2.5 Los Angeles @ Seattle 45.5

The Wildcats and QB Josh Johnson lit up the scoreboard last Sunday night at home. Johnson has however just one road touchdown and the Wildcats have still given up the most points in the league at 122. Since Seattle has switched over to quarterback BJ Daniels this Dragons offense has come to life. This game is at night and will be played in front of 30,000 crazy Dragons fans who will hope to slay the Wildcats with their defense and newfound offense. Los Angeles is the wrong favorite in this spot as Seattle will get the job done against a defense that continues to try to find themselves especially away from home.

23 Los Angeles Wildcats

32 Seattle Dragons

Good Luck !! Wash your hands and stay safe. Harry.
