Do you know that feeling when your heart tells you one thing and your head
tells you another? Well…it apparently also applies to sports gambling.
I knew in my head that Tony Finau is a Sunday choker and can’t finish
tournaments. But I still wanted to root for the guy after his weekend
meltdown at The Memorial last weekend. And yet I was burned once again.
NEVER AGAIN!
It’s a split weekend with two events going on – one for the elite players and
one for, let’s just say the other guys. We’ll skip the lesser known Barracuda
Championship though and focus on the WGC event.
Even though it was a rough last week for us in picks, I’d like to commend
Harry for nearly nailing a 90-1 shot in Adam Long. While I was correct in
thinking that the 3M Open set up for a bomb (Michael Thompson 125-1),
I’m thinking the 78 man tournament in Memphis will prove chalky.
Once again the rules for our challenge:
Each week, Harry, Parlay Kid, newcomer Michael (Best Bet Corner
producer) and I will get a simulated $200 to bet…$100 on golfers to win
that week’s tournament and another $100 to be spread amongst top-5, top-
10, and top-20 bets. We’ll track the progress to see who does the best and
whether we can produce positive ROIs.
