All hail The Parlay Kid!

If you’re reading this column, are you paying attention to what

he’s done this year thus far?

7 tournaments, 3 winners…with an ROI that’s almost guaranteed

to stay positive until at least mid-July worst case.

Collin Morikawa at 46.5-1 last week…and he put $50 on it + a

top-5 bet. Follow him, fade the rest of us, right?

This week the tour continues the Florida swing and on to Orlando

for the Arnold Palmer Invitational. Not only does this tournament

have a restricted field (123 currently) but one of the larger purses

for a non WGC or Major event ($9.3 million0. Also, note that Bay

Hill Club & Lodge played as the most difficult event on last year’s

schedule with Tyrrell Hatton winning at -4. With better weather on

tap this year, look for the winner to come in around -15 give or

take a few shots.

One other notable fact: Though Tiger Woods dominated this

event to the tune of 8 wins, the last five editions have been won

by non-U.S. players (Hatton, Molinari, McIlroy, Leishman, Day).

I’m betting that this trend continues…

Once again the rules: each picker will get a simulated $200 to bet;

$100 of which will be on win bets and another $100 on top-5, top-

10, and top-20 bets only. The kicker this time is that the money

can only be spent on a maximum of three golfers in each

category. Picking winners has never been so difficult.
