Since when did The Genesis Invitational become an unofficial

major tournament?

12 of the top 15 players in the world will be in L.A. this weekend in

what is by far the PGA Tour’s best field since November’s

Masters Tournament.

The final stop on golf’s ‘West Coast swing’, Riviera Country Club

provides a stern challenge to golf’s elite. Not only does the course

play long at over 7,300 yards but the greens are wicked. While

long hitters off the tee definitely have an advantage, those who

can gain strokes on approach and around the greens will likely

end up finishing well this weekend.

Parlay Kid and I won nicely with Daniel Berger last weekend at

Pebble Beach…so time to see if we can go back-to-back. TPK

has been crushing it thus far now with two winners and his lead

likely won’t be lost for a matter of weeks at least.

This week I’m looking at course history when it comes to my

picks. No, I’m not taking any former winners, but those who have

been close to capturing a title at Riviera are among my selections.

Once again the rules: each picker will get a simulated $200 to bet;

$100 of which will be on win bets and another $100 on top-5, top-

10, and top-20 bets only. The kicker this time is that the money

can only be spent on a maximum of three golfers in each

category. Picking winners has never been so difficult.
