It was only fitting that all of us golf fans got an amazing playoff
between two stars – Patrick Cantlay and Bryson DeChambeau at
the BMW Championship to set the stage for this week’s 2020-21
PGA Tour finale, The Tour Championship.
Unlike last year when it was pretty much a lock that Dustin
Johnson would win it going into Atlanta, your guess is as good as
mine as to who towards the top of the standings can rise to the
top despite the PGA Tour’s crazy scoring rules to start this
tournament.
With this being the last column of the season, I’d like to thank
Harry for the opportunity to write these golf articles most every
week for Best Bet Corner since last summer…and let me wish my
ultimate congratulations to Parlay Kid, who simply routed all of us
from the get-go this year. As I’ve said in this column several
times, I hope you’ve been tailing his picks…and if so, you
would’ve had a healthy $6,000+ return!
And I’d remiss not to mention Brother Bri, who despite his
participation this year, has yet to pick a winner. Could the Tour
Championship be his saving grace for 2021?
Once again the rules: each picker will get a simulated $200 to bet;
$100 of which will be on win bets and another $100 on top-5, top-
10, and top-20 bets only. The kicker this time is that the money
can only be spent on a maximum of three golfers in each
category. Picking winners has never been so difficult (except for
Parlay Kid).
