It’s amazing how Harry, Producer Michael, and oddsmakers in

general were high last week on a golfer who hadn’t won in four

years. Well they knew better than I did and for the first time, four

of us have reached profitability in our weekly picks!

It’s now on to the biggest tournament of 2021, which seems crazy

because we had another one just four months ago. But The

Masters is back to its usual April slot and for one weekend,

everything will seem all right with the world.

I’m not going to get into the whole discussion of scoring

conditions – more or less favorable than November – but I will tell

you a few players I won’t be betting: Dustin Johnson and Jordan

Spieth.

When is the last time the same player won back-to-back Masters

Tournaments? No surprise, it was Tiger Woods in 2001 and 2002.

Before that, Nick Faldo in 1989 and 1990. So history tells us that’s

incredibly rare.

And while Spieth looked awesome in winning in his home state of

Texas last weekend, players not named Tiger winning back-to-

back tournaments has only happened 7 times in the last seven

years.

Both Spieth and DJ seem good bets for the top-10 but side

against them for the win.

Another note of interest: No Masters winner since Charl

Schwartzel in 2011 (100-1) has been lower than 50-1. But if you

believe in the ‘once a decade’ longshot, this might be your year.

Either way, can’t wait to watch golf’s most scintillating four days of

the calendar year!

Once again the rules: each picker will get a simulated $200 to bet;

$100 of which will be on win bets and another $100 on top-5, top-

10, and top-20 bets only. The kicker this time is that the money

can only be spent on a maximum of three golfers in each

category. Picking winners has never been so difficult.
