+13.5 Mississippi versus Florida
Gators quarterback Kyle Trask had an excellent season last year with 25 touchdowns, but he is without his two leading receivers Van Jefferson and Freddie Swain this campaign. The Rebels have QB’s John Rhys Phumlee and Matt Corral back this season. Phumlee did most of his damage on the ground tallying over 1000 yards rushing and had 12 td’s. The Gators have not won a SEC opener by 14 or more points since 2016.
27 Florida Gators
19 Mississippi Rebels
-27 Central Florida versus East Carolina
In the past four seasons the Knights have scored at least 37 points against the Pirates. Wide receiver Marlon Williams had 154 receiving yards last week in a blowout win against Georgia Tech. The guy throwing the ball to Williams was standout sophomore Dillon Gabriel. Gabriel had 30 td’s last season and on Saturday he lit the Yellow Jackets up for 417 yards and four scores. UCF is loaded and I expect another huge performance from Gabriel and the rest of the Knights.
48 Central Florida Knights
16 East Carolina Pirates
-11 Miami Fla versus Florida St
The Seminoles lost their opener two weeks ago at home against Georgia Tech, meanwhile Miami comes into this in-state matchup 2-0 on the season. Running back Cam’ron Harris is doing the job on the ground for the Hurricanes with three td’s and is averaging over 10 yards a carry. Through the air Miami finally has a reliable QB in transfer D’Eriq King from Houston. As a Cougar in 2018 King had 50 total td’s and is off to a fantastic season. Miami just might maul an inexperienced Florida St squad.
39 Miami Hurricanes
16 Florida St Seminoles
