Cookout Southern 500

Darlington, South Carolina

Sunday, September 6

Current Record 81-31-1 ATS

Sunday under the lights in Darlington will start the NASCAR playoffs and the brightest light so far this season is 44 year old Kevin Harvick. Harvick has the lead in just about every statistic you could name. The race in May that was won by Denny Hamlin marked the most leaders in a race at Darlington (13) since May of 2009 when Mark Martin took the checkered flag and had Jimmy Johnson right behind his for second. Darlington this holiday weekend will surely start a wild couple months to see if anyone can finally catch Harvick this season.

Six Pack of Props

#1

-120 Brad Keselowski over Kyle Busch

In the first race in South Carolina this year Kyle finished a disappointing 26th meanwhile Brad has been consistent here, a better driver this season and he won here in September of 2018.

#2

-135 Top 10 Finish Erik Jones

Jones is trying to stay alive in the playoffs and this is by far his favorite track.

#3

-125 Top 3 Finish Kevin Harvick

Again, Harvick has been the leader all season in wins, points, laps, top 5’s …..do I really need to go on? Plus, he won here in the first time they ran here this season.

#4

-215 Top 5 Finish Denny Hamlin

Earlier this season at Darlington Hamlin locked down a 5th place finish and he won the last time they raced here.

#5

-125 Jimmy Johnson over William Byron

In 4 career races at this track Byron has zero top 10’s and Jimmy finished 8th in last race here in May this season and has won here 3 times in his illustrious career.

#6

Best Finisher in Group

+230 Ryan Blaney

+230 Erik Jones

+235 Kurt Busch

+275 Alex Bowman

Bowman has picked up his game the last couple weeks but it’s not him. Busch is way too sloppy of a driver and Blaney hasn’t been good finishing races of late. Erik Jones has two top 10 finishes here this season (5th and 8th) and he won here on September 1st, 2019 (led for 79 laps).

+230 Erik Jones

Harry’s Final 6 Six

6-Brad Keselowski

5-Chase Elliott

4-Martin Truex Jr

3-Kevin Harvick

2-Denny Hamlin

1-Erik Jones
