BY HARRY GAGNON
Here is my 6 Pack of football picks for the weekend before Thanksgiving. Hopefully I can continue my winning ways as I went 4-2 last week.
CINCINNATI -11 OVER SMU
The Mustangs have a talented QB but have dropped two of their last three games. Bearcats QB Desmond Ridder (27 total TDS) & RB Jerome Ford (15 rush TDS) will prove to be to much against SMU.
45 BEARCATS
24 MUSTANGS
WISCONSIN -9.5 OVER NEBRASKA
Cornhuskers head coach Scott Frost earlier this week got a extension to coach in Lincoln so for now his job is safe even though it has been another disappointing season for Nebraska. Meanwhile, the Badgers have been on fire, winners of 6 in a row and have held their opponents to 14 points or less in all 6.
37 BADGERS
14 CORNHUSKERS
RUTGERS +18 OVER PENN STATE
This more of a play against the Nittany Lions than it is for the Scarlet Knights. Penn St has had a wild run over the past 5 games and I just don't think they will get up enough to cover more than 2 TDS and a FG. Penn St in this gauntlet lost to Iowa by 3, then took it on the chin in the 9 OT game against Illinois, then covered the big number in Columbus, then pulled out a win over Maryland where they found themselves tied with a lesser Terrapin team in the fourth quarter, and to cap it off they played their hearts out but fell short against Michigan in Happy Valley (hasn't been such a happy season in Happy Valley for the Lions). Rutgers keeps it close and covers the 18 points.
30 NITTANY LIONS
17 SCARLET KNIGHTS
10 POINT TEASER
PITTSBURGH -4.5 OVER VIRGINIA
QB Kenny Pickett is too much offense for a Cavs team going with a backup QB who produced just 3 points last week in a 25 point loss to the Irish.
LIONS +21.5 OVER BROWNS
This Lions team has no quit in them and are really fighting for that first win of the season. The Browns were awful last week and despite starting this week, QB Baker Mayfield is banged up and getting more than 3 touchdowns is to good to pass up (even if it is the Detroit Lions).
CHIEFS +7.5 OVER COWBOYS
I'm trusting that the Chiefs have fixed things on offense after the monster performance by Patrick Mahomes on Sunday night versus the Raiders.
VIKINGS +2.5 OVER PACKERS
Aaron Rodgers hasn't been very Aaron Rodgers-like the past two games and on Sunday he will be without his RB/Safety Blanket Aaron Jones who's out with an injury. Minnesota looked good against the Chargers and really shutdown QB Justin Herbert. The Vikings are still fighting for a wild card berth and this game means more to Minny than in does the shorthanded Packers.
29 VIKINGS
23 PACKERS
10 POINT TEASER
SAINTS +11.5 OVER EAGLES
The Eagles may have won last week in Denver and looked good doing it, but they have 4 wins this season and all of them have been on the road. Philadelphia is 0-4 at home and the Saints are a better team at this point even with Trevor Siemain who has been better than average after stepping in for Jameis Winston (5 TDS, 0 picks). And in that Alvin Kamara is supposed to return to the New Orleans lineup.
UNDER 55 RAVENS/BEARS
The Bears actually looked like a talented offense in their last half of football in Pittsburgh 2 Monday nights ago. Only problem is that's been the only half they have looked like that all season. The Ravens depleted running backs situation is starting to cost them as their point production has not reached 20 points in 2 of their last 3 games.
OVER 46 COWBOYS/CHIEFS
The Chiefs offense looked back to normal after putting up 41 in Las Vegas and for Dallas, in their last 7 games they have scored at least 35 in 5 of them.
