SATURDAY, JANUARY 16
LOS ANGELES RAMS @ GREEN BAY PACKERS
PICK 1
UNDER 45.5
Look, I know it's a huge risk to take an under when it involves that State Farm guy, what's his name, oh yeah Aaron Rodgers. However this Rams defense is tremendous and they have been all season. The Rams lead the NFL in yards allowed and were an NFC best in total sacks. Speaking of sacks, Aaron Donald, Leonard Floyd, and Morgan Fox sacked Russell Wilson five times last week in their wild card game victory over Seattle. The Packers defense isn't getting the credit they deserve of late considering they have only allowed more than 16 points just one time in their last five games. The Rams still have questions at QB, but I think their defense can keep them in this game and hold the Packers to field goals at times when Green Bay would normally score touchdowns.
23 GREEN BAY PACKERS
16 LOS ANGELES RAMS
BALTIMORE RAVENS @ BUFFALO BILLS
PICK 2
+2.5 RAVENS
The Bills did an excellent job in capturing their first playoff win since 1995 but they were fortunate to escape with a victory against Indy at the same time. Colts tight ends were open all day in the middle of the Buffalo zone and Mark Andrews is Lamar Jackson's most used weapon. Hollywood Brown should have a productive evening as well, he has gone over 100 yards in his last two playoff games. I'm looking for the Ravens to open it up with rookie running back JK Dobbins as well. Dobbins after his touchdown last week has scored now in seven straight games. The Bills will score as well but the Ravens are rolling and Allen is 0-2 lifetime versus Baltimore with just 1 total touchdown.
31 BALTIMORE RAVENS
28 BUFFALO BILLS
CLEVELAND BROWNS @ KANSAS CITY CHIEFS
PICK 3
OVER 56.5
The Browns are coming off of an impressive pummeling of Pittsburgh and hung 48 points on their bitter rival. With that offensive outburst the Browns and Chiefs now have combined 18 games where they have scored 30 points or more this campaign. Plus, let us not forget that last season in Arrowhead in the divisional round the Chiefs scored 51 of the 82 points that were scored in the game against the Houston Texans. Baker Mayfield is finding Jarvis Laundry all over the field and the Browns running game has the best 1-2 punch in the game behind Nick Chubb & Kareem Hunt. Plus, isn't it just not smart to take an under when the Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes are involved.
41 KANSAS CITY CHIEFS
30 CLEVELAND BROWNS
TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS @ NEW ORLEANS SAINTS
PICK 4
+3 BUCCANEERS
I just wasn't and have not been that impressed with the Saints last week or the last half of the season. Brees, Kamara and Thomas were good last week but will have to be great to take down Tom Brady and the Buccaneers. This Tampa Bay offense is clicking at the right time and Brady is getting Antonio Brown more involved (5 TDS for Brown in last 4 games) and tight end Cameron Brate had his best game of the season last week in win versus Washington. They say it's so hard to beat a team three times in season which is what New Orleans will be trying to do and I get that the Saints rolled them on national television by 35 the last time they met and that is something that has stuck with Brady, head coach Bruce Arians and the rest of the team and deep down I think they wanted one more crack at the Saints. Well, regardless if that is true or not they will get their crack on Sunday and in a close one the Buccs will love on.
31 TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS
27 NEW ORLEANS SAINTS
PICK 5
7 POINT SATURDAY TEASER
+.5 GREEN BAY
OVER 43 BALTIMORE/BUFFALO
Aaron Rodgers finds a way to put up points against this Rams defense and with the issues Los Angeles has at QB, the Packers will not let the Green Bay fans down and they move on to the NFC championship game.
If Buffalo can't stop Lamar Jackson from running the ball that could equal a lot of points quickly. Allen and the Bills have been an offensive machine as well and there are just to many great players on offense on both teams and this game lands in the 50's.
PICK 6
10 POINT SUNDAY TEASER
PK KANSAS CITY
OVER 46.5 CLEVELAND/KANSAS CITY
+13 TAMPA BAY
The Browns have had a great year but even though I believe they will score on Sunday, I don't think they win the game and that's all Kansas City has to do to cover on a 10 point teaser. Also, if Brady and the Buccaneers lose for a third time to the Saints I think it's a close game.
