Here is my 6 pack of picks for this weekends slate of college and NFL games.
PICK #1
+6.5 MICHIGAN ST over Miami Fla
This seems like a set up line with Vegas making Miami so high of a favorite, but I'm not biting. Miami looked awful against Alabama and barely beat Appalachian St. Hurricanes QB D. King hasn't looked good (just 1 Td) and either has the defense (just 2 sacks and forced 1 turnover after 2 games). I'm rolling with the Big 10's Spartans who are averaging 40 points a game so far. Michigan St is 7th in rushing thanks mostly to RB Kenneth Walker who already has 5 rushing TD's on the season. The 'Canes might pull this one out but 6.5 is to many points to pass up.
27 MIAMI
24 MICHIGAN ST
PICK #2
+27.5 NORTHERN ILLINOIS over Michigan
The Wolverines have looked solid and have covered both games they have played but NIU is the best offensive team they will have faced after 3 games. NIU has scored 65 points after their 2 games and RB Harrison Wayle is averaging over 6 yards a carry (3 rushing TDs). Michigan moves on to their conference schedule after this game so there really is no need to blowout NIU with bigger games to come.
42 MICHIGAN
23 NORTHERN ILLINOIS
PICK #3
-14.5 ALABAMA over Florida
Kyle Trask is still playing in the state of Florida (Tampa Bay Buccs) but just not in Gainesville. The Gators would love to have him back after QB's have 4 picks combined after 2 games. I normally don't lay points especially double digits on the road but 'Bama's Nick Saban and Bryce Young are a can't beat combination.
49 ALABAMA
27 FLORIDA
PICK #4
-3.5 RAMS over Colts
Wentz was decent with his new team, but Stafford was flawless with the Rams. In fact, Stafford had his best QB rating game ever (156.1) in LA's 20 point blowout of the Bears. What really shocked me was how bad the Colts defense got smoked by Seattle. After witnessing the Seahawks put up big play after big play, it makes me think that not only Seattle can do that but Stafford can as well.
31 RAMS
23 COLTS
PICK #5
-3.5 NINERS over Eagles
The Eagles did a fabulous job against the Falcons but that won't be the case come Sunday against San Francisco. You can bet that the Niners coaching staff will not tolerate a late game collapse (that blew their cover) like they did against Detroit. Debo Samuel went off last week for 189 receiving yards and Jimmy G was extremely efficient running Kyle Shanahan's offense. However, it will be the defense led by Fred Warner and Dre Greenlawn (17 tackles and a pick 6 last week combined) that gets the job done against J. Hurts.
24 NINERS
16 EAGLES
PICK #6
OVER 55 CHIEFS/RAVENS
Who wants to watch a under game between these 2 teams on Sunday Night Football ? If you answered nobody, you would have answered correctly. Both teams played in wild high scoring games in week 1 and have a history against each other with his scoring results. In Mahomes 2 starts against the Ravens, KC put up 34 and 33 points. The Ravens and Lamar Jackson will get theirs on Sunday but if Carr can go for 409 yards passing (Raiders had just short of 500 yards as a team) what can Mahomes rip off.
