BY HARRY GAGNON
What a wacky wild way to start the 2021 NASCAR season last week in Daytona with 100-1 Michael McDowell winning the 500 with leading for just a single lap. After that insane scenario "GAS" still went 3-3 on my picks and would be +102 on the season on wagers based on a 100 bet. Let's keep it rolling on the Daytona road course track.
O'REILLY AUTOPARTS 253
DAYTONA INTERNATIONAL SPEEDWAY ROAD COURSE
FEBRUARY 21, 3PM EST
HARRY'S 6 PACK OF NASCAR PROPS
-155 TOP 3 FINISH BY CHASE ELLIOTT
Elliott was the winner in last season's race on the Daytona Road Course and has 5 wins in his last 8 road course races.
-180 TOP 10 FINISH BY RYAN BLANEY
Blaney, you know is chomping at the bit to get on the track after that early exit in Daytona last week. He is a solid road course driver and has one win and 4 top 5's in his last 8 races on this type of track.
-240 CAR NUMBER WINNER UNDER 18.5
Look, it's really hard to pass up when you get Cup Champion Chase Elliott, Denny Hamlin who has a road course win to his credit, and you can never count out Kevin Harvick and Brad Keselowski.
-130 CAR NUMBER WINNER IS ODD
Again, aside from Elliott and Hamlin, you also get Kurt Busch who could surprise, and Martin Truex, Jr in the number 19 car who is the 2nd best road course driver on tour behind Elliott.
-110 TOP TOYOTA CAR : TRUEX OVER KYLE BUSCH/HAMLIN/BELL/B WALLACE/TY DILLON
Truex since February 2018 (on road courses) has 5 top 5 finishes with 2 victories. Also, over that same time period he has the best average of finish on road courses at 4.63. Truex finished in third at this course last year.
-130 TYLER REDDICK OVER ROSS CHASTAIN
This will be Ross the rookies first ever road course race. Chastain managed to record an impressive 6th place last week but he will learn that road courses are a totally different type of race. Reddick in two career races does have a solid 12th place finish and another top 20.
